This product seems good quality and the hardwiring kit worked well. I was initially concerned whether the length of the cable to the rear camera would be sufficient for my car (an estate) but it was fine. The app is a bit disappointing and you need a lot of patience to download video. I identified a number of bugs in the app / camera firmware which I fed back to the manufacturer. To my surprise, they listened and sought more details and the result was they produced an updated firmware to the camera! I was quite impressed by the way they dealt with the issues. However, there are still few bugs which might catch people out. One issue is with the clocks changing in the UK (BST -> GMT), as the clock on the camera only seems to update when it's connected to the app. When an incident happened that I wanted to download, I connected to the app, which then changed the clock by an hour (back to GMT) and this seemed to lose a whole hours recording / it then recorded over the footage I wanted!! It would be better to stick with one timezone, such as UTC, and/or put the local time in brackets). Generally though, I would recommend this dash cam, it represents good value, it's just I'm not 100% confident it will be working properly when I most need it. For example, I recently spent an hour trying to download some footage, but it kept jumping back to the week before. I established it was at the point the dash cam turned off automatically to save power, that a glitch occurred and prevented me from downloading any footage after that point (several days worth). However, luckily after a soft reset, the footage became available to download.
